Day 1: Arrival in Manali
Morning:
Arrive in Manali (via bus, taxi, or flight). If coming from Delhi, you can take a bus or overnight train to reach Manali.
Check into your hotel or guesthouse and rest after your journey.
Afternoon:
Explore Old Manali: Take a stroll through this charming area filled with cafes, shops, and beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.
Visit the Hidimba Temple, dedicated to Hidimba, the wife of Bhima from the Mahabharata.
Evening:
Relax and enjoy a nice dinner at a cafe or restaurant in Manali.
Overnight stay in Manali.
Day 2: Manali to Kaza (Spiti Valley)
Morning:
After breakfast, drive to Pondicherry (approx. 3.5 hours).
Check into your hotel and relax.
Afternoon:
Visit Auroville, an international township known for its unique culture and architecture.
Explore Sri Aurobindo Ashram, dedicated to the famous philosopher and yogi.
Take a stroll through the French Quarter and enjoy the colonial-style architecture and quaint cafes.
Evening:
Relax at Promenade Beach and enjoy the sunset.
Overnight stay in Pondicherry.
Day 3: Explore Kaza – Key Monastery & Kibber Village
Morning:
After breakfast, visit the Key Monastery, one of the most famous monasteries in Spiti. The monastery offers spectacular views of the valley and the surrounding mountains.
Explore the monastery's ancient Tibetan architecture, murals, and prayer rooms.
Afternoon:
Visit Kibber Village, situated at an altitude of around 14,200 feet. It is known for its stunning landscapes and unique architecture.
Explore Kibber Monastery and the village itself, which is one of the highest inhabited villages in the world.
Evening:
Return to Kaza and enjoy a peaceful evening. You can explore the local markets and cafes in Kaza for souvenirs and Tibetan handicrafts.
Overnight stay in Kaza.
Day 4: Kaza to Tabo
Morning:
After breakfast, head to Tabo (approx. 2-3 hours drive from Kaza), which is home to the Tabo Monastery, one of the oldest and most significant monasteries in the region (established in 996 AD).
Visit the Tabo Monastery and the cave paintings nearby. The monastery is known for its ancient murals and scriptures, which are a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Afternoon:
Explore the village of Tabo and its surroundings. Tabo is peaceful, with amazing views of the Spiti River and surrounding cliffs.
Have lunch at a local café or homestay.
Evening:
Explore the nearby Dhankar Monastery (if time permits) on the way back to Kaza.
Overnight stay in Tabo.
Morning:
Depart from Tabo and head to Pin Valley National Park (approx. 2-3 hours).
The Pin Valley is known for its unique flora and fauna, including the endangered snow leopard. It's also known for its beautiful landscapes and peaceful environment.
Afternoon:
Take a short trek to explore the valley, walk around Mud Village (known for its ancient architecture), and visit the Giu Monastery, which is famous for housing a 500-year-old mummified monk.
Have lunch in the village or carry a packed lunch to enjoy amidst nature.
Evening:
Enjoy the serenity of the valley and take in the stunning surroundings. Return to Kaza in the evening.
Overnight stay in Kaza.
Day 6: Kaza to Kalpa
Morning:
After breakfast, head to Kalpa (approximately 6-7 hours drive), a small town located in the Kinnaur district, known for its apple orchards and stunning views of the Kinner Kailash Range.
En route, stop at Nako Village for a quick visit to the Nako Lake and Nako Monastery.
Afternoon:
Continue the drive to Kalpa and check into your guesthouse or hotel.
Explore the beautiful Kalpa village, enjoy a walk through the apple orchards, and take in the views of the snow-capped mountains.
Evening:
Relax and enjoy a peaceful evening in Kalpa.
Overnight stay in Kalpa.
Day 7: Kalpa to Manali (Departure)
Morning:
After breakfast, start your return journey to Manali (approx. 8-9 hours drive).
En route, stop at scenic spots, take pictures, and enjoy the winding roads through the Himalayas.
Afternoon:
Continue the drive, passing through the Rohthang Pass on your way back to Manali.
Evening:
Arrive in Manali by evening and either take a bus back to Delhi or relax in Manali if you wish to stay for a night before departure.
Day 5: Tabo to Pin Valley
